The American Pictures Series began in 1992 with the heads. The flag series came in 2020. I did not plan on these…the American Pictures were painted in the Reagan years. Phophetic? All my inspiration arises from the intuitve energies which are not defined of controlled by my daily life. As in the Head of Authority series, these pictures surprised me.  Letting them exist on their own terms is the point of art, which is not always easy!
